
Stavros Charalambous, MD
Dr. Stavros Charalambous is a recently certified Radiologist who is currently working in the Interventional Radiology Unit of the University Hospital of Heraklion. He received his MD from Semmelweis University and is a PhD candidate in the Medical School of the University of Crete in the field of Diagnostic & Interventional Radiology. His research interests focus on diagnostic imaging and image-guided interventions of vascular and oncological disorders.

Dr Klontzas is a first year radiology resident at the University Hospital of Heraklion. He studied medicine at the University of Crete (summa cumme laude – 85.6%), holds a PhD from Imperial College London (UK) and has worked as a postdoctoral fellow at Emory University School of Medicine and Georgia Institute of Technology (Atlanta, GA, USA). Dr Klontzas is a collaborating researcher of the Institute of Computer Science – FORTH and currently serves as a member of the Trainee Editorial Board of RadioGraphics and representative of the European Society of Medical Imaging Informatics (EuSoMII) at the Radiology Trainee Forum of the European Society of Radiology (ESR). Outside the reading room, he is a proud dad and amateur musician.

Katerina Strehle studied medicine at the Democritus University of Alexandroupoli (Greece). After graduation she moved to Germany where she worked for 2 years as a resident in Pediatrics in Städtisches Klinikum Görlitz and Evangelisches Waldkrankenhaus in Spandau, Berlin. After that she changed to Radiology and worked for one year as radiology resident in Klinikum Frankfurt Oder, when she moved to Crete to continue her residency in Radiology at the University Hospital of Heraklion.
